room fourteen — door thirteen
The Stairway
The postcard said the stairs were somewhere in the attic. It lied, gently — they’re everywhere at once. Click the stairwell, tap it, or hold Space / ↑ to climb. Thirteen landings, one for every room below. The sky changes as you go up.

the builder’s note
Every room is a landing
I climbed this stair thirteen times writing it. The attic was right about one thing: stairs are for going up. The rooms don’t mind being looked in on — I asked. Mostly.
